Milky Way Photography Meet-Up — Payson, AZ

Calling all night-sky photographers! Join us in Payson, Arizona this June for an evening under the stars as we gather to photograph the Milky Way at one of the region’s darkest and most scenic sky locations. Whether you’re new to astrophotography or a seasoned shooter, this informal meet-up is a great chance to share techniques, compare gear, and capture stunning celestial images together. We’ll discuss composition, camera settings, and post-processing tips before heading out to shoot as the Milky Way rises. Bring a sturdy tripod, wide-angle lens, plenty of batteries, and your sense of adventure!

All skill levels welcome — let’s make some cosmic memories!

Willow Springs Lake is located off of AZ Highway 260.

From Payson, take AZ-260 east, turn left onto Forest Road 149 (Willow Springs Lake turnoff) about 1 miles past the Woods Canyon Lake turnoff.
